Today's quote talks about a commitment to excellence or becoming the best that you are capable of being. The key word in the quote is commitment. All of us wish for a life of fulfillment. We want the perfect relationship, the perfect career and to leave a legacy behind us. Unfortunately a wish is just that, a dream unless we invest in ourselves and act to make it a reality. Mia Hamm did not become a tremendous soccer player simply by wishing it to be so. She put in years of sweat equity to make herself better ultimately becoming one of the best in her sport. Look back at any athlete who has become a superstar and you will find that they put in the work to make it a reality. Yes they were blessed with talent but they were committed to capitalizing on that talent and put in the hours of work when noone was looking to make it so. There were likely many with more talent and raw ability whose names we never hear because they lacked the commitment to take massive action and strive for excellence.
