The 39th Annual Herndon Festival, will be held May 30 - June 2 in a new location, at the Northwest Federal Credit Union, 200 Spring Street. The Herndon Festival features local and nationally-known entertainment on two stages, a carnival, children’s hands-on art area, arts & crafts show, business expo, 10K/5K races and fitness expo on Sunday at the Herndon Community Center, complimentary shuttle bus service, and an assortment of food vendors. The festival is produced by the Town of Herndon Parks and Recreation Department with assistance from local civic organizations and businesses. Northwest Federal Credit Union is proud to serve as the title sponsor for the 2019 Herndon Festival. Make time to join us all four days to enjoy a variety of music. Thursday performances feature the music of
China Grove, The Doobie Brothers Tribute and transit Vocal Band; Friday performances feature
Act of Congress, and
Ocho de Bastos; Saturday headliners include
Three Sheets to the Wind – America’s #1 Tribute to Yacht Rock and
Farewell Angelina; Sunday headliners include,
Something’s Brewing and

Festival hours are as follows: Thursday, May 30, 6:00-10:00 p.m.; Friday, May 31, 5:00-11:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 1, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.; and Sunday, June 2, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Please note that pets are not allowed in the Festival area, and all backpacks, packages and hand-carried items will be searched for prohibited items.
New this year! On Sunday,
Mister G a Latin Grammy Award winning artist, author, activist and educator will perform from 10:00-10:45 a.m. and then host a dynamic music education workshop at 11:30 a.m. Children ages 2-8 are invited to attend the workshop to learn about culture and music and decorate their own music maker. This is a free event! A special thanks to F.H. Furr for sponsoring this fun workshop and activity.
A free shuttle bus service will transport attendees to and from the Festival area, departing every ten minutes from the Peraton building off Worldgate Drive, 12975 Worldgate Drive and Herndon High School. Riders at Herndon High School need to meet at the large rock at the entrance to the school off Bennett St. Parking at both shuttle bus pick-up/drop-off locations is free. Shuttle bus service hours are as follows: Thursday, May 30, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.; Friday, May 31, 5:00 – 11:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 1, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.; and Sunday, June 2, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Or, ride your bike and enjoy a free bike valet service located off Herndon Parkway and the W&OD Trail.

During the Herndon Festival drivers are encouraged to navigate around the festival site taking Elden Street to avoid the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Spring Street.
