American College Dance Association presents National College Dance Festival 2018
Thursday, June 7, 2018 - Saturday, June 9, 2018
American College Dance Association
National College Dance Festival 2018
The American College Dance Association's 2018 National College Dance Festival presents three programs featuring some of the finest dance works selected from colleges and universities throughout the country. The Festival offers audiences an opportunity to view the next generation of dancers and choreographers. Each program showcases ten dances, with a total of thirty schools participating in the Festival. A different dance program will be featured on each date at both the matinee and evening performances.
The choreography in each program represents a breadth of styles and thematic concerns created by guest artists, faculty, and students. Highlighting the ongoing American tradition of dance as a medium to investigate a wide range of aesthetic, emotional, and social issues, several dances in the Festival powerfully reflect the current political and social climate. Other dances delve into the nature of human relationships and interactions or explore pure movement. Exciting and varied choreography and ferocious dancing by emerging artists—the Festival reflects the vitality of dance across the country.
Note: All tickets are General Admission. Performance Timing: Part One - 60 min.; Intermission - 15 min.; Part Two - 60 min.
