Innovate | Smart Cities, Smart Workforce Conference on March 21.
In a thought-provoking and insightful keynote conversation with celebrated speaker Arthur Mason, Executive Vice President at Cassidy and Associates, Mr. LaHood – now a Senior Policy Advisor with law firm DLA Piper – will discuss how we must develop our communities’ infrastructure, adopt new models of transportation and establish clearly defined goals to create Smart Cities and support the evolution of the Smart Workforce needed to sustain our urban environments into the next century.

Innovate | Smart Cities, Smart Workforce Conference considers the technological innovations in transportation, construction and law enforcement that will arise from the creation of Smart Cities as well as the dramatic changes we should expect in the coming decades in our living and working environments.
Some of these changes are already here, with urban planners taking their first steps in exploiting the benefits of ubiquitous broadband access and the dawn of the Internet of Things.
But for our cities to truly evolve into the smart, safe and clean communities we envision, it is imperative that we have a workforce that is ready to support the infrastructure and security demands of a world that will become increasingly reliant on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to meet our daily needs.
In addition to our opening session with Mr. LaHood and Mr. Mason, we are also honored to feature CIT President and CEO Ed Albrigo in a Closing Keynote that considers our region’s contribution to best practices, policies, processes and technologies to equip communities with the resources, support and tools to become sustainable smart communities.
