One of the things that people loved about Yogi Berra was the fact that he used to come up with many seemingly silly sayings that made everyone laugh. This one like many of the others on the surface may seem laughable but when you think it through nothing could be more accurate. It speaks to the importance of both having and following a plan and is similar to what Lewis Carroll said (If you don't know where you are going any road will get you there) The fact is that the vast majority of people travel through life without a real plan for what they want to accomplish They exist living day to day and are essentially rudderless letting the events of the day take them somewhere along the path but have no defined destination. If you don't have a plan there is little likelihood that you will maximize your capabilities and achieve that which you are capable of. As a result you will not find the fulfillment that each of us craves from knowing that we maximized our potential. All of us are capable of greatness but it takes conscious thought, preparation and massive action to bring that greatness to light. Without a plan we simply wander aimlessly without focus. Develop and implement a plan, make an impact and live your life free from regret
